Current theories suggest that for a moment, at the beginning, the universe temporarily expanded faster than the speed of light. How fitting then that a project by the name of Nebula should harbour plans to both educate and onboard newcomers to web3 and blockchain technology, and even more specifically, to Cardano.
What is Nebula?
Nebula is an ecosystem of gamification and education, centred around the theme of space and time. Given the scientific undertones of the project, it should come as no surprise that the primary objective is a logical one, that is, to be both profitable and sustainable. This is to be accomplished via a meticulously designed onboarding strategy geared towards cross-chain engagement, and realised through the collaborative effort of both the Cardano and wider crypto community.
In an era of hype and dump this drive towards long-term sustainability is both welcome and essential. However, while these two components are the foundations on which any successful project is built, the objectives can only be achieved if the project delivers value in the form of engaging entertainment.
The team’s plan is to produce and deploy valuable assets and games that can be re-licensed and utilised by other projects, for a fee, plus a share of the transaction fees. Impassioned by this, the Nebula team is dedicated to creating a thriving environment that holistically encompasses a variety of creative media, including art, audio books, gaming and CNFTs. The vision is to ignite and capture the community’s imagination, with the goal of transcending the boundaries of what is expected from both Cardano and web3, forever.
On top of this there is also a drive towards educating the community, ensuring that the benefits of membership are not limited to monetary reward. With their eyes fixed firmly on the future, the Nebula team plans to educate people on the basics of blockchain technology, in an attempt to onboard non-web3 natives. Content of a more complex nature will also be offered, such as the new Cardano Improvement Proposals (CIPS), DeFi strategies and Technical Analysis (TA).
The above factors may prove pivotal in the battle against ignorance, successfully driving recruitment to web3. Of course, it should go without saying that the education side of things will also be space focused, and will delve into physics, relativity and other scientific specialities. Gamification Like No Other
Gaming is to feature heavily in the Nebula ecosystem and will play a key role in ensuring the prolonged success of the project. Having identified a strong desire within the community for ‘chance-based’ experiences that offer valuable rewards, the team has established ‘Nebula Financial’, a dedicated business entity that will oversee the ‘Nebula Gaming’ part of the ecosystem. Space Race, is the name of Nebula’s first gamification endeavour, and takes on the form of a classic slot machine. The Lore of the Stars
Having partnered with Danketsu, Nebula will provide a gamified web-based pick your own adventure game, where players are able to shape their own narrative based on the choices they make, strategic thinking is key here. NFTs will be used to go on missions, uncover deeper lore and earn rewards. Much like in the recently launched Abantu Tribe project, your NFTs will represent characters, items and artifacts from within the game. As you progress through the missions more of the backstory will be revealed and more valuable rewards will become available.
A Moon Based Metaverse for All
The project also utilises Carda Station to its full extent. For those who don’t know, Carda Station is a fully immersive moon base themed metaverse, where users can explore the lunar world through their in-game characters. Interactions occur via virtual hangouts, thrilling games and other exciting events. It also provides users with an entire universe of possibilities, such as engaging in virtual economies. By leveraging the blockchain technology, all assets within Carda Station are owned by the users, providing a decentralized and transparent environment.
Jet off to Space Camp
Having covered the exciting, intriguing and incredible, we now move on to the insane, insanely unique that is. In a first of its kind for blockchain projects, Nebula Financial is looking into partnerships with space exploration experts, with a view to develop fully immersive space camp programs. Selected token holders will potentially be able to experience zero gravity simulations, as well as lunar surface and space walk simulations.
There are also plans to create a variety of multi player strategy games, as well as launching a range of Nebula space-themed merchandise, from chains and hats to t-shirts and even space helmets.
