While writing for Adapulse I was tasked with taking white paper funding proposals for Project Catalyst and turning them into engaging personable articles that the wider Cardano community could understand. On this occasion, I had the pleasure of liaising with Joshua Akpan (Proof of Africa) and (Liqwid Finance).

ABCD (Africa Blockchain Centre for Developers) was trying to secure funding from the Project Catalyst community, and the mission was clear.

“To stimulate the establishment and growth of technology based start up companies, and other blockchain – enabled businesses in Africa.”

Having been unsuccessful in their previous funding attempts, I was able to sit down (virtually) and interview Josh, thereby extracting the key details necessary in order to compose an emotionally captivating article. The joint collaboration was a huge success, not only did ABCD get their funding, but the article was picked up and retweeted by IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson, leading him to reach out to the team for further discussions surrounding their organisation.
